Today we slept in and then went in search of breakfast. after a couple of failed attempts and a considerable walk we found "Murphy's on 3rd", which turned out to be something different for a change and quite good. After a leisurely breakfast we returned to our room and attempted to do laundry but were beaten to the machines by several other cyclists. so we vegged out in our room for a few minutes and then decided to stretch our legs by taking a walking tour of Goat Island and also Three Sisters islands. After about two hours of walking Tom and I decided we had seen the falls from every angle short of taking the boat tour and the helicopter ride. Last night we walked back over to the Canadian side and walked up and down the strip which was shoulder to shoulder with tourists of every nationality. We had spent about 15 to 20 minutes looking at the falls from the Canadian side as we rode in on our bikes. The Canadian side is the most popular and photogenic place to view the falls. Tom, Ken Zika and I went back for a second look at dusk turned into darkness. By the way it costs 50 cents to get back into the US on foot after crossing into Canada, but it did not cost us to get in on our bikes.

Tom wasn't aware that I was taking this picture. We went to the daredevil museum this morning and several barrels and a jetski which people have used to attempt to go over the falls. I hope Tom was not looking for a spot to put the barrel in for his attempt. by the way don't try the jetski, that guy did not make it alive. It's surprising haw many people have made the attempt. Here is a picture of one of the "barrels" - higher tech than your average whiskey cask!
