Day 8, June 29, 2009 - Ontario, OR to Boisey, ID

Today was a shorter day of 65 miles and flat, relatively speaking. Tom aid we could be riding through Illinois and at times it looked that way. crops everywhere, corn, wheat, sugar beets and lots and lots of hay. Also today we crossed into Idaho shortly after leaving the motel. For this first leg of the ride there were 57 riders, 42 men and 15 ladies. The average age is 58 years, one of the most mature groups Mike Munk has ever led. we have one 18 year old girl who just graduated from High school and a 21 year old girl who just graduated from Stamford. The oldest guy is 80 and the youngest guy is 42. Two women from Alaska will be going home tomorrow. But new people are joining. Tomorrow is a rest day and that will be very welcome.
