As we mentioned last Thursday, Friday was to be a signature day for the ride. It was! Maybe they were testing us. We all made it over the 117 miles, but we had to put in a long day. I(Tom), just to make the day a litte longer, topped it off with a flat just as we were pulling into John Day, OR. A great restaurant more than made up for our only scuzzy hotel so far.
Once again the scenery was splendid, we climbed from rangeland to mountains with large trees and descended again to rangeland. What a gift we are being given!!
